16-02-12 It's back to school with The Foo! Now that the sweetie-munching terrors are back at school, Yukfoo can let you in on a little secret - we helped get them there with our multifaceted Back to School double-header of TVCs for the Betts Kids footwear chain and the Paper Plus stationery franchise. Go to our work page to check them out!

03-02-12 It's all go here at Yukfoo - 2011 ended on a high with our feature film 'Shirley and The Hungary Bear' being selected by the New Zealand Film Commission for funding as part of their Escalator programme and we thought we would begin 2012 in similar glorious style with our short film 'Preferably Blue' being selected for competition in both the Monstra Film Festival in Portugal and the internationally renowned Anifest International Festival of Animated Films in the Czech Republic.
17-11-11 As you can see we have been hard at work this year and you can see all the greatness rolled into one in our updated showreel.
09-09-11 Yukfoo director Julian Stokoe has completed a charming spot for VW (Via DDB Singapore) for online, in-store and TV. Aimed at a younger audience the animation makes use of 2D childrens artwork mixed with stop-motion photography and CGI footage. The piece pays particular attention to VW's commitment to the environment and aims to encourage the future generations of drivers to champion this cause.

14-08-11 Our contribution to the RWC '11 sees offical partner and sponsor TOSHIBA showcase their technology and innovation. The brief had to show force and power whilst also poise and grace to typify the Toshiba brand and the connection to Rugby. We used a combination of hand drawn animation and CGI renders with a heavy post production treatment to acheive a photorealistic interior apartment and the feeling that artwork had been actually painted on the walls & floors. 01-06-11 Yukfoo welcomes Director Ryan Kothe to the team. Kothe specialises in stopmotion animation with a particular penchant for small and beautiful things. He's an intricate craftsperson who brings a designer's eye, as well as an extremely refined ear, to each and every project he touches. You can view Ryan's films on our work page.

17-05-11 The new 2011 HONDA Civic is here, which is great news if you're a rock star and you have a problem with borderline stalkers. You see it's the cutting edge features in the vehicle that can assist in helping you successfully escape obsessive fans. Here is the demonstration film that accompanies the car illustrating how to use these features in order to avoid such unwanted attention. (Director: Dan Sumich, Passion Pictures UK. LIne Production by Yukfoo, Director: Julian Stokoe. Via RPA Los Angeles).

26-02-11 Yukfoo's stopmotion cinema campaign for Positively Wellington Tourism ('There's no place like Wellington' through Clemenger BBDO Wellington) has taken out a gong in the Animation Craft section at the Australian AWARD Awards show. A pleasing result that we are pleased with.

25-02-11 Our Short film Preferably Blue will be making its World Premiere at the SXSW (South by Southwest) Film Festival in Austin Texas in Mid-March. So if you happen to be in the Lone Star State around this time pop in and catch the Bunny and Santa doing it large on the big screen. We'd love to be there ourselves but Alan has misplaced his cowboy boots. http://schedule.sxsw.com/events/event_FS11289
23-02-11 All of the team at Yukfoo wish to express our solidarity with and support of the people of Christchurch who are suffering through the tragedy of yet another massive earthquake. We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and can only hope that those trapped are able to be rescued, those lost found and those forces shaking the ground stop.
16-02-11 We've recently revamped and relaunched our blog which is now focused on listing interesting and creative things we find around the internet. So if you have a spare five minutes take a look (of course it's work related, just repeat after me......... "R&D, R&D."). http://animationiscool.blogspot.com/
