TAC - Back on Track

This commercial, for the Victorian TAC, is a finely crafted origami stop-motion spot that cleverly folds from one scenario to the next. Each object builds and deconstructs as we follow the story from accident to rehabilitation to recovery, and it all happens in miniature on a kitchen table.

Origami

Yukfoo Producer Amy Neave says, “It’s a simple story that is beautifully told through realistic lighting, subtle camerawork and considered use of depth of field. When you work at this scale you can’t make any errors and we also had to be very conscious of ensuring that the technique didn’t overshadow the story. We’re delighted with the result.”

The commercial will be rolled out throughout Victoria and we envisage that quite a few registration notices may end up folded into shapes that may or may not look like cars. Be warned - it’s not as easy as it looks.
